Mr. Louis DiLuzio concentrates within the fields of family law, complex civil litigation, criminal and DWI matters and contract/transactional matters.
Mr. DiLuzio was admitted to the New Jersey Bar, New York Bar and Federal District Court of New Jersey in 1989. He is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts in the Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division: First Department; the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division: Second Department; and, the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. He has also represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) and the New York State Division of Human Rights. He also regularly practices in New Jersey Municipal Courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. DiLuzio was associated with a practice in Fort Lee, New Jersey where he specialized in family law and complex civil litigation. Prior thereto, he practiced at a boutique law firm in New York City for approximately 10 years where he focused on family law and music entertainment law. Matrimonial and Family Law clients included various movie and television actors and actresses, music entertainment performers and models. In addition to the above, Mr. DiLuzio has served as a legal consultant to a major New York City entertainment and media company.
In 2014, Mr. DiLuzio won the acquittal of a Bergen County Police Officer who was facing several Second Degree criminal charges in a matter concerning a police officer involved shooting. In 2012, he procured a judgment in the amount of $300,000 in a matter involving a loan in which no paperwork existed. In 2011, he won the reversal on appeal of a judgment in the amount of $6.2 Million Dollars previously entered against a New Jersey Chiropractor charged with civil fraud.
Mr. DiLuzio has successfully tried numerous matrimonial and domestic violence matters. He has drafted and negotiated over 300 divorce settlements and presented the same to various courts in New York and New Jersey in an uncontested fashion.
Mr. DiLuzio graduated from Wagner College in 1984 and New York Law School in 1988. He is involved in his community and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
